SEATTLE – Visit Seattle, the city’s official destination marketing organization, and their agency of record, PB&, took home three American Advertising Awards at last night’s award ceremony hosted at Motif Seattle.
Visit Seattle was recognized for two video content series on their digital channel, VISITSEATTLE.tv, as well as a special Seattle pop-up activation in New York City. The awards, known as the ADDYs, included the following campaigns:
As part of its marketing initiatives, Visit Seattle made a strategic pivot in fall of 2015 to leverage VISITSEATTLE.tv as a model more akin to a TV network with engaging programming. They’ve produced award-winning original content which has led to increased site traffic, record video views and numerous industry accolades.
“Seattle is a world-class destination with vibrant cultures and experiences for everyone,” said Ali Daniels, Senior Vice President & CMO at Visit Seattle. “Our goal was to bring those larger than life personalities and experiences into an immersive campaign that left people with a memorable and unexpected vision of our city. It is an honor to be recognized among our peers for these incredible series.”
The American Advertising Federation (AAF) hosts the ADDY Awards which are the advertising industry’s largest competition, representing 40,000 advertising professionals. With these three local awards, Visit Seattle will advance to the regional ADDY awards.
Two years ago, Visit Seattle was recognized with the Judges’ Choice Award and the Silver ADDY Award for Integrated Branded Content for the VISITSEATTLE.tv video content series “Seattle First Takes” and “Sounds by the Sound.” Visit Seattle also earned a Silver ADDY Award for Film and Video Cinematography for “Seattle First Takes.”
