SEATTLE, WA – Visit Seattle announced the promotion of Kelly Saling as Vice President, Convention Sales, effective May 2017. In this role, Saling provides strategic direction and leadership for the Visit Seattle convention sales team and is responsible for developing long and short-term marketing and sales strategies, penetrating existing markets and developing new markets.
“With the anticipated groundbreaking of the additional convention facility and new hotels opening in 2018, we are so pleased to have Kelly in the role of Vice President, Convention Sales,” said Rob Hampton, Senior Vice President, Convention Sales & Services. “Her knowledge of the industry brings a competitive advantage to Visit Seattle and her leadership style makes her perfect for the position.”
Saling joined the sales team at Visit Seattle in 2009. She became the Director of Sales beginning in 2014, managing the Seattle team, as well as select key accounts. She is an active member of PCMA, MPI and CESSE.
Saling is a Seattle transplant by choice, originally from the Denver area, and a graduate of the University of Colorado, Boulder. Saling and her husband have one son and love to travel.
