WHAT: Join Visit Seattle, CenturyLink, the Seattle Seahawks and Pike Place Market for a special Blue Friday Rally on Friday, September 21 in celebration of Sunday’s home opener against the Dallas Cowboys.
Free public Wi-Fi, powered by CenturyLink, is available at the Market Information Center, making it easier than ever to share Blue Friday festivities on social media. Fans are encouraged to use #TGIBF, #WeAre12, #GoHawks, #VisitSeattle and #PikePlaceMarket as part of their Blue Friday social media posts.
WHERE: The festivities begin at 10 a.m. with an opening performance by the Blue Thunder Drumline at Westlake Park under the Arch (4th Ave. and Pine St.). From there, Blue Thunder, Blitz the Seahawk and the Sea Gals Cheerleaders will parade down Pike Street to Pike Place Market where they will perform adjacent to Visit Seattle’s Market Information Center at the corner of 1st Ave. and Pike St.
Walter Jones, former Seahawks offensive tackle and Hall of Famer, will join the festivities at Pike Place Market. Participants will also have an opportunity to watch the famous Pike Place Market Fishmongers in action as the rally continues down the cobblestones of the Market. The march will conclude with a final Blue Thunder performance at the MarketFront Plaza (1901 Western Ave.).
WHO: All Seahawks fans – visitors and locals alike – are invited to participate. The Blue Thunder Drumline, Blitz the Seahawk and Sea Gals Cheerleaders will lead the march through downtown.
