GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN – Ralph Morton, Executive Director of the Seattle Sports Commission (SSC) was elected as the new chair of the National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC), the governing body of the $9.45 billion sport event industry, during its annual meeting held in Grand Rapids, Michigan this week.
Morton has served as Executive Director of the Seattle Sports Commission since 2004. He has been working in the sports industry since 1988 and was Vice President of Events for the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, where he held a leadership role on events such as the Super Bowl and NCAA Final Fours. He also served as Vice President of Operations for the Acxiom Grand Prix Du Mardi Gras and Entertainment Coordinator for Aggreko Entertainment Services. He is a University of Florida graduate, and lives with his wife and four children on Mercer Island.
