Sugar or Spice? Naughty or Nice? This Season, Ask Yourself: What’s My Seattle Holiday Adventure?
Visit Seattle Debuts New Campaign to Help Locals and Visitors Plan Their Downtown Seattle Visit This Holiday Season
SEATTLE – Do you prefer a grandiose, street-closure takeover performance by carolers festively dressed to the nines or the soothing calm of Handel’s Messiah in a warm theatre? Or what about a nautical holiday parade of ships that has been lighting up Seattle’s waters for more than 65 years? The holidays in Seattle are full of attractions, entertainment options, excursions and culinary experiences to suit everyone’s tastes and interests. To help sort through it all and make deciding what to do as easy as pecan pie, Visit Seattle created a new holiday website, “What’s Your Seattle Holiday Adventure” (visitseattle.org/holidays) that clearly and conveniently shows all there is to see and do in Seattle this holiday season.
The sights, sounds, tastes, and adventures of the season, from Argosy Cruises Christmas Ships, a Seattle holiday tradition for 67 years, and Diving Santa at Seattle Aquarium’s Fishtival to Woodland Park Zoo’s WildLights and T-Mobile’s New Year’s at the Needle, are all organized by category, making it easy for locals and visitors alike to create a customized holiday must-do list tailored to their interests and personality.
“Seattle has a remarkable lineup of both time-honored and unexpected holiday traditions,” said Ali Daniels, Vice President, Marketing, for Visit Seattle. “We wanted to showcase all of these in a fun way so visitors could engage in them and get excited about planning a trip or prompt locals to give the gift of a Seattle experience this holiday season.”
In addition to exploring a variety of fun things to see and do in the city, the new website allows visitors to easily plan an overnight stay with more than 25 holiday-inspired hotel packages to choose from this season.
Examples of things to do in each category at “What’s Your Seattle Holiday Adventure” include:
