Seattle’s History is our History!
Visit Chief Seattle’s Duwamish Tribe.

Our traditional Cedar longhouse is located across the street from a major Duwamish archelogical site which is on the National Register of historic places, T107 Duwamish Access Park.

The Duwamish Longhouse and Cultural Center is the home of the Duwamish people. The Center serves as a tribal headquarters, education center, and meeting and ceremonial place. The Center is free and open to the public 5 days a week Tuesday to Saturday from 10 to 5pm.

Space includes a historical exhibit space, Native Art Gallery, Native Gift shop and banquet, Reception and Meeting Space. Capacity 190.

The Duwamish Longhouse and Cultural Center serves to promote and share the heritage of Chief Seattles Duwamish Tribe, Seattles First People and only native tribe.

The longhouse regularly sponsors free family friendly events and admission is always free.
