Katie Miller’s immersive, site-specific installation of sculptural forms envelop visitors in light and shadow. These large-scale pieces examine the developing urban landscape and its impact on our perception of place by utilizing lines and angles familiar to architectural frameworks. Comprised of four main sculptural components, “The Presence of Absence” expands the boundaries of Miller’s previous bodies of work to include intimate two- and three-dimensional environments animated with natural and applied light.
