Mary Coss: Groundswell

Now through 4/6/2019 | Method Gallery

Visual Arts & Galleries Pioneer Square

Groundswell examines the relationship between water, global warming and culture. Through a two-year partnership with scientist Roger Fuller, Coss examined the dangerously increased salinity levels encroaching local estuaries and consequently our freshwater resources. The work in this show is inspired by these conversations and the current state of ecological and political affairs. Coss will be in residence at METHOD Monday through Friday March 1-20 as she transforms the space from a stark dystopian landscape of salt laden grass into a churning, ethereal swell reflecting our current social climate.
