In June 2009, Laura Ling, along with journalist Euna Lee, was convicted by the North Korean government for illegal entry and committing “hostile acts” against the country. On August 5, 2009, Bill Clinton engaged in diplomatic talks with North Korea and secured Ling and Lee’s releases. Ling continued her work with Current TV. A true story not to be missed.
