Eric Beltz: New Skies

Now through 7/28/2018 | Prographica

Visual Arts & Galleries Capitol Hill/Central District

This exhibition is a collection of recent graphite on Bristol drawings by Santa Barbara-based Eric Beltz that further builds on his obsession with the cycle of the moon as it waxes and wanes across the ever-changing sky. Rendered with a rich pattern of triangles, diamonds, hexagons, and circles these drawings offer a visually dynamic field that captures the wonder of gazing into the unknowable vastness of space. Beltz explores cosmic weightlessness, mind-bending reflections, and pattern as a way to conjure up the magnetic forces between planets, moons, and stars.
