Music Downtown

Celebrate the joys, pleasures, and piquancies of Spring’s awakenings with Dufay’s delicious three-part setting Ce moys de May, as well as Jannequin’s chanson of the same title, Morley’s It was a Lover and his Lass from Shakespeare’s play As You Like It, De Rore’s Rejouyssons nous, together with lusty songs, sprightly dances, blissful ricercars of wistful melancholies, and battle pieces depicting love’s skirmishes, such as Vecchi’s Amor Vittorioso. Vocalists from Ensemble Eos join Piffaro for a celebration of Spring!
