Jack Straw Cultural Center announces a new series of intimate piano performances in their studio that highlight the diversity and talent of Jack Straw Artists and the beauty and range of their Steinway B grand piano. This inaugural event features Jack Straw Artists Amy Rubin and Randy Halberstadt. Amy Rubin’s program will include music of Brazil by Ernesto Nazareth, her own arrangements of Astor Piazzolla’s Nuevo Tango, as well as original compositions. Randy Halberstadt will perform a mix of original compositions from his recent recording Open Heart (2018) as well as reinvented standards from the jazz repertoire.
