Alison Marks: One Gray Hair

Now through 2/4/2018 | Frye Art Museum

Museums Capitol Hill/Central District

Alison (Bremner) Marks creates contemporary multimedia works using customary Tlingit forms, unexpected materials, and a wry sense of humor. In her first solo exhibition, she rejects the demand that Native artists produce only spiritual works, demonstrating that Indigenous identity is based as much on available materials as it is on tradition.
