RESTAURANTS

Fremont patio dining. Photo: Jon Hegeman

With over 60 restaurants, bars or coffee shops there is plenty of variety for food in Fremont. The mix includes plenty of Thai food, higher-end restaurants like the 35th St. Bistro, Ponti's or the Asteroid Ristaurante & Bar, Burger joints and diners - Blue Moon Burger, featuring all natural, hormone free beef and Roxy's Diner, Seattle's only NY Jewish style diner. For specialty diets try the Silent Heart Nest, which features vegan-fare or the Flying Apron Bakery with gluten-free baked goods. If you want some entertainment with your meal you can't beat belly dancing at Costas Opas.

Need a place to hang out, drink some coffee (or tea) and surf? Fremont has Peet's Coffee and Tea, of course we have our own Starbucks, and some other local favorites - Ladro's, Fremont Coffee Company and Canal Street Coffee have their own flare and style.

Sundays you can partake in Market food at the Fremont Sunday Market - wood oven baked pizza, fresh fruits or crepes. On those few days of sun you can grab a picnic to go at PCC, organic fruits and "good for you, while still tasting good" goodies to munch on while watching the kayakers glide down the Ship Canal, or enjoy the sun or the rain in El Camino's sun porch with a mimosa brunch (Sundays only).
