| An evening sunset along Shilshole Bay |
From Scandinavian to Latino, and Thai to Italian, Ballard offers a number of locally owned ethic eateries. For some historic flavor, try a restaurant in a landmark firehouse, an old library or a quaint building in the Ballard Avenue Landmark District. Along the waterfront, you'll find fine dining at restaurants whose menus feature fresh fish and Northwest wines, complete with spectacular views. Sip Ballard's own microbrew at the Jolly Roger, grab fish and chips where the locals do, nosh at one of several wine bars, check out the blue-collar favorites or dine al fresco at a sidewalk cafe. And if you're headed for the beach or a local park, ask for yours to go. No matter your style, price range or menu preference, Ballard offers something sure to fill you up and put a smile on your face.
For a list of local eateries, please visit the Ballard Chamber of Commerce website.

| SeafoodFest |
Foodies won't want to miss SeafoodFest. If you're in town the last weekend of July, get your fill of one of Seattle's favorite Seafair events. This community celebration features alder smoked salmon cooked right in the street and a host of vendors, each featuring at least one seafood entrée. There's great music, a beer and a wine garden and a host of entertainment for kids. Whether you like yours skewered, blackened, smoked or pickled, you can find it at the Ballard SeafoodFest.
