Perfect for Thrill Seekers

Add a thrill or two to your trip to Seattle by taking to the skies in a hot-air balloon, biplane, hang glider or parasailer.

There is no better way to appreciate Seattle's pristine setting - water, mountain ranges and that fabled greenery - than from the air. Be sure to bring your camera - you'll want a shot of yourself flying high.

You don't need special gear or training for most of these adventures. If you're an inexperienced hang glider, sign up for a lesson or go on a tandem flight with an instructor.

Parasail over the Seattle waterfront and you'll float 350 feet above Puget Sound, looking down (if you dare) on ferries and cruise ships.

If going airborne is not your thing, consider a wind surfing lesson on one of Seattle's lakes. Experienced wind surfers will want to head south to the Columbia River Gorge - which offers a world-class experience.
