Art Galleries Abound in Seattle

Many districts host gallery walks or stay open late on certain evenings. Check out First Thursdays in Pioneer Square, which boasts the city’s largest concentration of art galleries, and enjoy extended gallery hours and exhibit openings, along with refreshments and great people watching. In Pioneer Square, the Tashiro Kaplan Artist Lofts and 619 Western both offer a concentration of artist studios and/or galleries in a single building. The Belltown, Ballard, Capitol Hill, Georgetown and Phinney/Greenwood neighborhoods, among others, also offer plenty of action on neighborhood art walk nights. Whether you are looking for jewelry, glass art, sculpture, paintings, prints, photography or fine crafts, the options are endless. See the links below for information about specific monthly shows.
