The Seattle Urban Trek is a team adventure race combining the amazing attractions of Seattle with treasure hunting, running, social media, problem solving and team work. It tests competitors’ wit, grit and tenacity to try a fun and competitive, uniquely Seattle, out-of-the-box experience. Teams of three or four complete a six to seven mile race that consists of a series of fun and unique mind boggling or physically challenging check-points throughout the course. Each team will complete the check points and cross the finish line together.

Your team’s race kit package includes t-shirts and race bibs for each team member. Additional details will be emailed to registered participants closer to the event.
The course will cover 6-7 miles across the heart of downtown Seattle. Teams can run or walk the course. Bikes, roller blades/skates and motorized vehicles are not permitted.
Teams consist of 3 or 4 people. All members must be 18-years or older and sign the electronic event waiver in order to participate.
There are 3 divisions of competition:
*You can also choose to join the Corporate Challenge. This challenge is the race between the company you work for against other companies in the race.*
It is permissible to switch a team member if needed. Please make sure to register your new person via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, in-person at packet pick-up, or at Safeco Field the morning of the race.
In order to optimize your team for the best experience, we suggest coming prepared with these items:
Adventure racing is a challenging sport. Teamwork and good sportsmanship are integral parts of making it a safe event.
Pay attention to the needs of your teammates and other teams. If someone needs help, stop and help them.
Don’t enter the race if you haven’t trained and are not physically prepared.
Race at the pace you trained for and not the pace of your strongest team member. THIS IS A TEAM SPORT.
Seattle Urban Trek offers a complimentary Bag Check for runners on the day of the race. We recommend that you use the Children’s Hospital bag you’ll get at packet pickup. Alternatively, you can bring a personal bag that is 12” x 18” or smaller. We will provide bag tags the day of the race. You must show your race number and ID to retrieve it after the race.
Bags must be dropped off by 8:00am at “Bag Check.” They will be moved to the finish and available for pickup starting at 10:30am. Bags not picked up by 1:00pm will be taken to the Seattle Sports Commission offices for storage. If you have not contacted us (206-461-5865) to retrieve your bag within two weeks, the contents will be donated to a local charity.
Please do not put irreplaceable items or valuables such as wedding rings, cell phones, I.D., wallets or cameras in your bag. Seattle Urban Trek/Seattle Sports Commission/Seattle Mariners/Pyramid Alehouse are not responsible for the loss, theft or damage of items placed in gear bags. Runners who check their bags will do so at their own risk.
