Since 1935, Sports Star has celebrated and preserved our Washington sports culture.

The annual awards show and gala, commonly referred to as “Washington’s ESPYs,” has expanded from a newspaper byline turned awards banquet to a red-carpet gala complete with a Hollywood-esque Media Row buzzing with live interviews, a Champions Gallery of trophies and memorabilia to catch the eye of any Washington sports fan, and a fully-produced awards show that brings the best of Washington sports’ past and present together.

Starting July 5, Seattle was brimming with All-Star energy. In partnership with Converge Media and Friends of Waterfront Seattle, we hosted a livestream from July 5-7 to kick-off the celebrations.

Featuring local athletes and historians to share stories of our baseball/softball history, and host city organizers and partners giving early access to some of the best ways to get in on the All-Star action, check out The Takeover: All-Star Edition, Live from Waterfront Park.
