Seattle’s museums and hotels kicked off a region-wide travel program today with a flag-raising ceremony atop the Space Needle and a proclamation from Seattle Mayor Ed Murray. February 1-29, 2016 is officially “Seattle Museum Month,” which offers hotel guests 50 percent off admission at 41 participating museums.
Seattle area hotels offer special travel deals for Canadians this winter. Several packages are available for booking now, making February even more attractive for savvy travelers from the north. Separate from Seattle Museum Month, many Seattle hotels are offering packages and discounts specifically targeted toward Canadian travelers to help offset the exchange rate. The unique combination of discounted room rates, complimentary valet parking, gift certificates and dining deals.
The second annual Seattle Museum Month, February 1-29, kicks off with a common refrain from regional hoteliers and cultural institutions: “Gray is just our backdrop.” Seattle’s February forecast may be unappealing, but the region’s hospitality community wants travelers to know that it’s the perfect month to enjoy the region’s rich cultural institutions.
