SEATTLE –Today, Visit Seattle, Seattle’s official destination marketing organization launched a new, user-friendly website, www.visitseattle.org. The site serves as Seattle’s primary information resource for visitors from around the world, meeting planners, convention attendees, tour operators, travel agents and media. Accessible via mobile device, tablet or computer, the site features a comprehensive event calendar and content highlighting more than 1,000 tourism businesses throughout the Pacific Northwest. With this fully responsive site, visitors can access Visit Seattle’s blog, Instagram and Twitter feeds as well as virtual versions of Visit Seattle’s publications.
“We are thrilled to roll out the new site – it’s built with the future in mind,” said Ali Daniels, Visit Seattle’s Vice President of Marketing. “We’ve taken into account that consumers are constantly evolving in the way they use technology, specifically how they use technology to plan travel.”
Developed with the help of Visit Seattle’s web design agency partner, Gravitate, the site’s fresh look is only the first step to creating a friendly and responsive user experience.
“Seattle deserves a smart, easy-to-navigate portal that highlights our city’s greatest features to the world,” said Visit Seattle’s Senior Designer, David Newman. “This website is only the first chapter to this new and exciting way of sharing our city’s story.”
Visit Seattle, a private, nonprofit marketing organization, has served as Seattle/King County’s official destination marketing organization (DMO) for more than 50 years. The goal of these marketing efforts is to enhance the employment opportunities and economic prosperity of the region.
