SEATTLE – The 2016 Copa América Cententario is the 100th anniversary of Copa America, the South American Championship, which will be staged outside South America for the first time.

Seattle will host three matches at CenturyLink Field, including two Group Stage matches on June 4 and June 14, as well as a Quarterfinal match on June 16. The June 14 match sees the 2014 FIFA World Cup runner-up, two-time world champion Argentina and soccer great Lionel Messi take the pitch at Centurylink. The June 16 Quarterfinal has been pegged as potentially featuring the U.S. Men’s National Team.

Seattle is one of 10 cities to host matches during the tournament, June 3-26, 2016. Other locations include Orlando, FL; Foxborough, MA; Santa Clara, FL; Philadelphia, PA; East Rutherford, NJ; Houston, TX; Pasadena, CA; Chicago, IL; and Glendale, AZ.

Six teams from the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF), while all 10 teams from the South American football confederation CONMEBOL will be featured.
