SEATTLE – Visit Seattle staff will volunteer as servers at FareStart Restaurant’s Guest Chef Night on Thursday, September 17, 2015. All revenue from the evening will go towards funding FareStart’s culinary job training and placement programs for homeless or disadvantaged individuals.
The dinner features Chef JP Ponticelli from the award-winning Tulalip Resort Casino. Working alongside FareStart students, Chef Ponticelli will be preparing a three-course meal that will be served to guests by Visit Seattle volunteers. At FareStart, food is the tool that empowers students to transform their lives with through culinary and life skills training. Located at 7th & Virginia in downtown Seattle, the nonprofit organization aims to provide life skills, job training, and employment in the food service industry. Members of the community can support FareStart by dining at Guest Chef Night or a weekday lunch service.
