Canadians Save on Travel to Seattle in February when Combining Hotel Packages and Seattle Museum Month Offers

Stay at a Downtown Seattle Hotel and Enjoy Discounts to the Region’s Rich Cultural Institutions

 

SEATTLE – Seattle area hotels offer special travel deals for Canadians this winter. Several packages are available for booking now, making February even more attractive for savvy travelers from the north.

The second annual Seattle Museum Month, February 1-29, offers guests at 59 downtown Seattle hotels to access 50 percent discounts at participating museums – and that includes several of the region’s most noteworthy 2016 exhibitions.
Separate from Seattle Museum Month, many Seattle hotels are offering packages and discounts specifically targeted toward Canadian travelers to help offset the exchange rate. The unique combination of discounted room rates, complimentary valet parking, gift certificates and dining deals can be found on the list of hotel packages below.

All four Kimpton properties: Alexis Hotel, Hotel Monaco, Hotel Vintage and Palladian Hotel offer the NW Residents Rate (aka ‘We Love Our Locals’) to Canadians. The package includes valet parking and two cocktails at the hotel restaurant.

Hotel Max is offering a special that includes free parking for Canadian travelers.  Only travelers searching from IP addresses within Canada can see and book this promotion.

Fairmont Olympic Hotel is offering a Savvy Shopper package for residents of BC and Alberta. The Savvy Shopper package includes a $50 American Express gift card per night and a coupon book to the Seattle Premium Outlets in Tulalip.

A complete list of Seattle Museum Month participants can be found at www.seattlemuseummonth.com but a number of participating museums – including some with regularly free admission – will also offer films, lectures, tours and other special programming during Seattle Museum Month.
The offers are valid for guests staying at one of 59 participating downtown Seattle hotels. Guests must present an official Seattle Museum Month guest pass at participating museums to redeem the discounts; these discounts will be valid for all guests staying in the hotel room (not to exceed four people) during hotel stay dates.

Seattle Museum Month is produced by Visit Seattle and funded by the Seattle Tourism Improvement Area (STIA), a dedicated marketing fund assessed from guests at the 59 downtown Seattle hotels. Seattle Museum Month is present in many different types of media including digital, social, Out of Home (OOH) and movie trailers. The program is targeting key markets of eastern Washington, Portland, Vancouver, B.C., Denver, San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland.
