New Seattle Ads Are a Metronatural
This month, Seattle metronatural brand ads appear in convention trade magazines and newspapers such as Associations Now, Medical Meetings and USAE Weekly, as well as a Destination Seattle special section in Alaska Airlines Magazine. The brand ads debuted last month in Convene (the magazine of PCMA). In June, Smart Meetings magazine will feature a Seattle metronatural ad. SCVB will also participate in a Washington State Tourism co-op ad in Sunset and The Smithsonian magazines in June.

SCVB and the new Seattle Metronatural brand are being agressively marketed in local, regional, and national publications such as Convene.

First of Seattle Cultural Guides Debuts
This month, the SCVB Cultural Tourism Department announced two new cultural and heritage guides for travelers. The Seattle Native American Heritage Guide, now available, features significant Native American attractions, museums, galleries, heritage sites, historic background and special events information. SCVB worked in conjunction with a review panel of community members to ensure accuracy and to provide proper cultural and historic perspective.
The Artists' Guide to Seattle, launching in early June, will introduce visitors to Seattle from the viewpoints of sixteen local artists. Profiles include artists such as Emmy Award-winning actor Tom Skerritt, internationally-known opera soprano Jane Eaglen, musician Chris Ballew and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Timothy Egan. Artists tell what inspires their work, how they connect with creative communities and where they like to take visitors. The Seattle metropolitan region is home to more arts-related organizations and businesses per capita than anywhere else in the U.S.
The new guides are free of charge and can be mailed to travelers upon request. The guides are also downloadable from the SCVB web site and available at the Citywide Concierge & Visitor Center and other Seattle area locations. For more information, updates or to download a guide, visit www.visitseattle.org/cultural. The guides are supported by funding from 4Culture and the Paul G. Allen Foundation. |
