Duwamish Hill Preserve
3800 S 115th Street, Tukwila
The City of Tukwila and Cascade Land Conservancy worked collaboratively to acquire and preserve this culturally significant property on the Duwamish River, which opened to the public in 2010. Restoration is ongoing. www.duwamishhill.org
Native American Canoe Center at Lake Union Park
860 Terry Ave N, Seattle
The Seattle Parks Department is working with United Indians of All Tribes and the Center for Wooden Boats to develop a Northwest Canoe Center longhouse, carving shed, and canoe launching area from a restored beach.
