Ali Daniels Appointed Director of Marketing for Seattle’s Convention and Visitors Bureau
SEATTLE – Seattle’s Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB) announced the addition Ali Daniels as Director of Marketing, effective May 2. Daniels brings creative energy, marketing savvy and a drive for results to this critical position with the city’s official destination marketing organization.
In her new role, Daniels manages and leads SCVB’s Marketing and Creative Services department. She is responsible for identifying market opportunities and developing short- and long-term marketing strategies with the objective of attracting overnight business and promoting destination awareness and brand recognition.
Daniels most recently served as Senior Account Manager at Creature, a Seattle-based advertising agency, where she managed brand and advertising campaigns and strategic plans for the agency’s top clients. Daniels supervised creative teams, worked directly with client brand managers, implemented strategic communications with national sales forces and measured brand success by interpreting sales results and media analytics.
Between 2006 and 2008, she was Retail Marketing Manager at Tully’s Coffee Corporation in Seattle, where she created and managed short- and long-range marketing initiatives and developed strategic partnerships.
In 2005 and 2006, Daniels served as Marketing Coordinator at Screenlife LLC in Seattle and, from 2003 to 2005, she worked in communications, event planning, sales and project management for the Seattle Sonics & Storm.
Amid a field of formidable marketing professionals vying for the SCVB Director of Marketing position, Daniels’ diverse experience and noteworthy professionalism made her the clear choice.

Daniels is a Seattle area native with a passion for the destination and travel abroad. She graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a BA in Business and Public Administration, Marketing Emphasis.
Seattle’s Convention and Visitors Bureau, a private, nonprofit marketing organization, has served as Seattle/King County’s official destination marketing organization (DMO) for more than 50 years. The goal of these marketing efforts is to enhance the employment opportunities and economic prosperity of the region.
