In 1962 Seattle stepped onto the global stage as it hosted the Space Age-driven World’s Fair, which left in its legacy the current day grounds of the Seattle Center. In honor of the 50th anniversary of the futuristic fair, the Seattle Center has created The Next Fifty, a six-month celebration commencing April 21 and running through Oct. 21.
King Tut Exhibition Now On View At Pacific Science Center
Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs is now on view at Pacific Science Center, the final U.S. stop of the exhibition, through January 6, 2013. This is the largest King Tut exhibition ever shown on the West Coast – more than twice the size of Seattle’s 1978 Tut exhibit – and features new objects never before seen in the U.S.
