Tickets are on sale now for the Seattle Art Museum’s landmark exhibition, Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso, Paris, an exhibition of the work of Pablo Picasso (1881-1973), running through January 17, 2011
SAM’s presentation of these art works - which normally are not allowed to tour – was made possible because the Musée Picasso recently closed for renovations, allowing a rare, full-scale global tour for the first and, likely, the last time.
The SAM exhibit will feature iconic works from virtually every phase of Picasso's legendary career, drawn from the largest and most important repository of the artist's work in the world. More than 150 original works of art, including some 75 paintings and sculptures and an important selection of prints, drawings and photographs will be on view in Seattle.
